Down Under days with Summer Mckeen and Pacha Light Watch them in Australia

Hello Summer! Summer, Mckeen. Take a trip with Summer Mckeen and Pacha Light to Australia...Shop Summer's looks from her trip.

Any good getaway deserves the best tour guide, so Summer and friend Grace traveled the Gold Coast and met up with Aussie's very own Pacha Light who they met in Hawaii and had a chance to surf Diamond Head. Pacha took the duo to the place where is all began,  Burleigh Point, the home of Billabong where Gordon and Rena Merchant made the first ever pair of boardshorts and bikini in 1973.

Together they looked out at the iconic Burleigh point and watched as the waves broke and afterwards, skated to the top of the hill and back in the morning sunshine.

After catching the glorious morning light, we all  stopped in for a light breaky at the Salt Mill in Currumbin and each enjoyed an Acai Bowl - the perfect way to cool off in the heat. After a quick recharge we took in the coastline at DBah – home to some of the best surfers in the world...And just around the corner was Snapper Rocks,  home to one of the best beach breaks along the Australian coast,  location to the first stop on the World Tour, and also part of a protected surfing reserve.

When we first talked about traveling to Aus with Summer and mentioned meeting Koalas at the the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary, well that was something that had to happen. Meeting two of Australia’s national animals, Koalas and Kangaroos was a major highlight for our girl gang. Next stop, more animals! We visited the the Currumbin Eco Village, only about 15 minutes inland from the beach and the most beautiful sustainable community where Pacha’a horses are kept to graze the green pastures. We did a little bareback riding, saw some wild kangaroos and had a nice little lunch at the organic café.

The next day we did a but of morning yoga and stretch session on Burleigh Beach and afterwards as we made our way to the famed Byron Bay, we stopped into Killen Falls which is just a short walk down the cliffside. On our way, we came across a beautiful waterfall and swimming hole. When the clouds opened up and it started raining it became even more magical

No trip to Australia’s Byron Bay would be complete with out a bit of surfing at The Pass. We went in for a wave at this local hotspot and caught a few party waves log after the sun had gone down.

Stay tuned for more from Summer Mckeen!
